Ines Mendez

Dr. Mendez graduated from Medical School in Havana in 1989 as a Doctor in Medicine, she furthered her studies in Family Medicine where she specialized at Policlinic Antonio Maceo.

Dr. Mendez then moved to Belize in 1992 where she worked as a General Physician at the Old Belize City Hospital until 1994 when the Karl Heuser Memorial Hospital was inaugurated.

She continued to work as a Medical Officer ll until 1999 when she moved to Havana Cuba to pursue a Dermatology Residency and thereafter, graduated with a perfect score in 2002.

Dr. Mendez then returned to Belize and was hired by the Ministry of Health as the National Coordinator for STI/HIV/AIDS and TB programmed, where she supervised the work of those nationwide.

She represented Belize internationally in various countries like: Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, Canada, Guatemala, Mexico, Honduras, Salvador, Nicaragua, etc.

She then opened her own private practice at Belize Medical Associates from 2002 until 2008.

After 2008, she branched off from the government and went fully private. At this point in her journey, she established and open Dr. Moguel’s Clinic on Mercy Lane and then in 1225 Blue Marlin Blvd where it is currently located for the past 14 years.

Dr Mendez strives to offer professional and reliable service to her clients with the higher international standards and good medical ethic.
